I Am So Excited

I am so excited this morning. My sister and brother-in law are arriving soon. So I am up bright and early enjoying my coffee and wishing it was warmer weather. But we won't let that bother us.

It has been 4 years since we have seen each other. That is not often enough for me to see my baby sister.

So this is just a reminder that I won't be posting again on financial topics until Friday so that we can enjoy ourselves. You guys have a good week.

  7. Hi! I am so glad you are back to blogging! You have been inspiring my little family for years from way back in the Grocery a Challenge days. I found your blog again last weekend and have read every night after the kiddo goes to bed to catch up. I was curious after some of the pictures- do you unplug things in the kitchen when not in use like coffeemaker, blender etc? I always hear about vampire power, but I am not sure how much a difference it makes on a bill. We do keep our tv on a power strip and unplug strip when not in use- honestly that's because we had a tv ruined during a power surge. - Always love your tips! -Aj

    1. Hi Aj,

I keep my Keurig off by turning the switch on the back of it. When I use it, I turn it back on. I do the same with my Vitamix. I also have two TV's on power strips that I can shut on and off. Keeping those and computers off makes a huge difference in electricity usage. Tv's especially because they always draw power even when turned off.
